  • Victoria Lamas denies entry into Leonardo DiCaprio’s 49th birthday party

Victoria Lamas denies entry into Leonardo DiCaprio’s 49th birthday party

Victoria Lamas, former girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio, wasn’t permitted entry to the actor’s star-studded 49th birthday celebration in Beverly Hills.

Pictures from the event on Saturday captured the 24-year-old actress and a friend outside the venue, stylishly dressed in a black top, matching blazer, lace tights, and heels, accessorized with a green purse.

Reports indicated that the event had a strictly controlled guest list, preventing Lamas from joining the festivity. While A-listers like Kim Kardashian, Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz, and more graced the party, Lamas remained outside.

Lamas was initially linked to DiCaprio at the end of the previous year, and despite earlier claims that they weren’t dating, the pair continued to be spotted together, including at a New Year’s Eve celebration in St. Barts.

Amid speculation, DiCaprio has been connected to model Eden Polani, while ongoing rumors also tied him to Gigi Hadid from September 2022 onward.

Most recently, the “Titanic” star has been in a relationship with Vittoria Cerreti. The couple were “affectionate and kissing throughout the night” at his party Saturday.

Their relationship seems to have stepped beyond a fleeting romance, as the couple was spotted engaging in public displays of affection last month at a Halloween party. A photo captured the 25-year-old model in an intimate moment, reaching out to grab DiCaprio’s rear. An insider had previously disclosed to Page Six in September that their connection is much deeper than just a passing fling.

“They’ve been spending quite a bit of time together over the past few months,” the source added. “They’re enjoying getting to know one another on a deeper level.”

The Golden Globe winner, who is often trolled for dating younger women, was last in a long-term romance with Camila Morrone from 2017 to 2022.

After his split from the “Daisy Jones & the Six” star, 26, Drew Barrymore praised DiCaprio for still “clubbing … go[ing] on yachts” at his age.

  • Insider dismisses reports Leonardo DiCaprio is dating 19-year-old model

Insider dismisses reports Leonardo DiCaprio is dating 19-year-old model

An insider has rebutted claims that American actor and film producer Leonardo DiCaprio is dating a 19-year-old girl.

Last week, reports surfaced that the Titanic actor was dating 19-year-old model Eden Polani after the two were spotted hanging out together at a music release party in Los Angeles. However, a source has told TMZ they’re not romantically involved.

According to the outlet, DiCaprio and Polani coincidentally sat together at the party, and “were hanging in the same group.” The source went on to say “just because Leo might be talking to or sitting with a girl doesn’t mean he’s dating her.”

The last time DiCaprio was in a serious relationship was with Camila Morrone. The two called things off after four years of dating, as reported last August. Throughout the course of their time together, the former couple kept things private. It wasn’t until February 2020 that they made their public debut as a couple, attending the Oscars. The reason for their split remains unclear.

In December 2019, Morrone defended their 22-year age gap, saying others shouldn’t be worried about their business. “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood—and in the history of the world—where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date,” she explained.

Since Morrone, DiCaprio has had multiple flings, including Gigi Hadid and Victoria Lamas. The actor is not looking for anything serious at the moment, a source told TMZ. In fact, he was recently spotted on a luxury yacht in St. Barts with a number of different women by his side.

  • Why Leonardo DiCaprio has been called as a witness in Pras Michel’s money laundering trial

Leonardo DiCaprio is among 72 witnesses being prepped as part of Fugees member Pras Michel’s money laundering trial.

Per a report from Politico, an extensive list of witnesses is being prepared for the trial, in which Michel is facing federal charges of conspiracy and falsifying records as part of the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal. DiCaprio’s 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street, which was directed by Martin Scorsese, was allegedly partially funded by money fraudulently acquired from 1MDB.

The 47-year-old actor previously gave secret testimony to a Washington, D.C. grand jury for his reported involvement in the scandal in 2019. It’s possible that he could answer questions about the alleged connection between the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and 1MDB, which was systematically embezzled of millions by multiple perpetrators, but chiefly by alleged mastermind Jho Low.

Michel allegedly had ties to Jho Low, who has been accused of stealing a total of $4.5 billion. Authorities have asserted that Michel transferred a significant amount of funds from Low into the 2012 Barack Obama presidential campaign.

In 2019, Michel pleaded not guilty to the charges, but he was hit with further charges in June 2021 after he allegedly engaged in a back channel campaign to pressure the Trump administration to drop its investigation into Low and 1MDB.

It’s that The Fugees were forced to cancel their reunion tour due to the federal charges.

  • Leonardo DiCaprio joins DR Congo gorilla park campaign after attack

Leonardo DiCaprio has joined a campaign to support Africa’s oldest nature reserve after it came under a deadly attack last month.

Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo is a popular tourist attraction and is known for its endangered mountain gorilla population.

In April, 12 rangers at the park were killed in an ambush by a suspected Rwandan rebel group.

DiCaprio has now contributed to a new fund which aims to support the park.

Earth Alliance, a group co-founded by the actor, has donated part of the initial $2m (£1.65m) funding, although it is not clear exactly how much.

“I had the great honour of meeting and supporting Virunga’s courageous team in their fight against illegal oil drilling in 2013,” DiCaprio said in a statement to BBC News.

The actor was an executive producer on the documentary Virunga, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2014.

“Virunga urgently needs funds to protect the endangered mountain gorilla population, to provide support to the rangers and the families of rangers who have fallen in the line of duty, and to help deliver essential disease prevention efforts,” he said.

“It’s critical that we rally together during this time of incredible crisis.”

The park, a Unesco World Heritage site, is one of the most biologically diverse in the world, and his home to several hundred species of birds, reptiles and mammals.

On Monday, the park launched the Virunga Fund, made up of donations from groups including Earth Alliance, which was co-founded by DiCaprio, Emerson Collective and Global Wildlife Conservation. The European Commission have also contributed.

Virunga Park said it was facing a “series of unprecedented threats”. In addition to the recent attack on rangers, the coronavirus outbreak has forced it to close to tourists, resulting in a significant loss of revenue.

Scientists have also said Covid-19 poses an “existential threat” to the gorillas themselves.

The World Wide Fund For Nature has warned that mountain gorillas are at risk of catching coronavirus because they share 98% of their DNA with humans.

A month after Virunga stopped all tourism activities, 12 park rangers, a driver and four members of the local community were killed in a violent attack by around 60 militiamen.

The group ambushed a convoy of civilians that was being protected by the rangers. A statement from the park at the time described it as an attack on the local civilian population, adding that the rangers were not the target.

Kidnappers have previously been known to target tourists in the park. In 2018 attackers killed park ranger Rachel Masika Baraka during the brief kidnapping of two British tourists and their driver.

    ‘Twin threats’

National Virunga Park director Emmanuel De Merode said he had “never been more worried” about the future of the park in light of the outbreaks of Ebola and Covid-19.

“Virunga’s rangers are racing against the clock to protect both the local communities that surround the park and the endangered mountain gorilla population from these twin threats,” he said.

The park said money raised would provide urgent support for staff on the ground to deliver critical disease prevention efforts, law enforcement, and protect endangered species.

DiCaprio has become well known for his activism in recent years, particularly on environmental issues.

In 2016 he appeared in Before The Flood, a documentary that saw him meet scientists and world leaders to discuss the dangers of climate change.

Last month he helped launch America’s Food Fund, a fundraising initiative that aims to ensure all US citizens have access to a reliable supply of food.

The 45-year-old became one of the world’s best-known actors in the late 1990s after appearing in Titanic and Romeo + Juliet.

He has since starred in The Wolf of Wall Street, The Departed and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. He won the Oscar for best actor in 2016 for The Revenant.

DeGeneres and McConaughey were both nominated to take part in the challenge by DiCaprio, who himself is offering a fan the chance to hang out on the set of Killers of the Flower Moon with him, De Niro and director Martin Scorsese

“If you ever wondered what it was like to be able to work with the great Martin Scorsese, this is your chance,” DiCaprio said.

Killers of the Flower Moon tells the story of Native American killings in 1920s Oklahoma.
