    The Konongo District Police Command has apprehended a 60-year-old man, identified only as “Oboy,” for the alleged murder of his 56-year-old wife, Mercy Durowaa, at their residence in Konongo Zongo, located in the Ashanti Region.

    Reports indicate that Oboy, who had previously lived and worked in Italy, returned to Ghana with his wife after experiencing a bout of mental illness. Sources close to the investigation suggest that a domestic dispute may have escalated, leading to the tragic incident.

    According to police sources, Oboy is suspected of pushing his wife, causing her to sustain a fatal injury to her occiput as she hit the floor.
