  • Kanye West and Kim Kardashian settle divorce, agree on equal joint custody and $200K monthly child support for Kim

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have officially settled their divorce.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, West Kanye and Kardashian agreed on joint custody with “equal access” to their four kids—North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.

In addition, Ye will send Kim $200,000 per month in child support. He’s also responsible to take care of 50 percent of the children’s educational expenses, as well as 50 percent of their children’s security expenses.

“As for property, the division of assets is in accordance with their prenup,” a source told TMZ. “And, according to the prenup, both Kim and Kanye waived spousal support.”

In a separate Tuesday report, the outlet added that Ye gave Kim the $4.5 million house he purchased next door. “The home borders Kim’s lot, so she’ll likely just tear it down—as it needs a ton of work—and add to her acreage,” TMZ wrote, adding West still owns a $60M Malibu beach house as well as properties in Calabasas, Chicago, Belgium, and Wyoming.

Kim and Kanye married back in 2014, following her divorce from Kris Humphries. Kim filed for divorce from Ye in February 2021, after seven years of marriage.

Back in February of this year, Kardashian reflected on the couple’s divorce in an interview with Vogue, where the reality TV star explained she “did what made other people happy” for a long time.

“For so long, I did what made other people happy,” Kardashian said. “And I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you.”

A month after Kim opened up about their divorce, Ye followed suit by taking to Instagram in March and sharing a lengthy poem titled “Divorce,” which arrived two days after Kardashian was declared legally single, with a judge granting her the ability to return to her maiden name.

“Divorce feels like full blown Covid. Divorce feels like your doctor don’t know shit,” Ye’s poem began. “Divorce feels like you’re walking on glass. Divorce feels like you’re running through a glass wall. Divorce feels like you’re being bullied in a class hall. Divorce feels like you’re getting beat up in the mall.”

  • Amy Schumer jokes about midterm elections and past pregnancy in ‘SNL’ opening monologue

Amy Schumer’s Saturday Night Live monologue was edgy to say the least.

Schumer was full of jokes on the upcoming midterm elections, her past pregnancy, being married, and more. You can watch it below.

Schumer also made a joke about Kanye. “It used to be called Asperger’s, but then they found out, this is true that Dr. Asperger had Nazi ties, Kanye.” After she tapped her microphone, she joked, “That was weird.”

This week’s episode marked Schumer’s third time hosting the comedy sketch show. The 41-year-old comedian made her SNL debut in October 2015 and secured her second hosting gig in May 2018. Schumer returned to Studio 8H about a year ago, when she made a cameo during the Kim Kardashian-hosted episode. The reality TV star later confirmed Schumer had helped craft her SNL monologue.

Schumer’s sketch show, Inside Amy Schumer, was recently revived in Paramount+ after a six-year hiatus. The show’s fifth season kicked off last month with weekly episodes dropping on Thursdays. • Kanye West retains Johnny Depp’s Attorney from defamation trial

Kanye West has hired an attorney in the wake of his recent antisemitic remarks.

TMZ reports Ye is retaining Camille Vasquez, one of the attorneys who helped Johnny Depp in his defamation trail with ex-wife Amber Heard. Vasquez, along with her Los Angeles-based law firm Brown Rudnick, will provide Kanye with legal counsel on a “variety of business matters.”

Ye sparked backlash this month by making harmful and offensive comments on social media and in interviews, including tweeting that he planned to go “death con 3 on Jewish people,” a likely reference to DEFCON 3.

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE,” he wrote. “The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

Twitter subsequently removed his tweet for violating its rules. Ye’s latest Drink Champs episode was taken down shortly after premiering this week; it contained antisemitism and misinformation about the death of George Floyd. An already-taped appearance on LeBron James’ The Shop was scrapped for similar reasons.

On Friday, Balenciaga announced it has no “plans for future projects” with West, as Women’s Wear Daily reported that the Kering-owned fashion house had cut ties with Ye, although a specific reason was not provided.

“Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist,” a Kering rep told the publication.

  • Elon Musk says he ‘expressed my concerns’ to Kanye West over recent Twitter activity

Elon Musk says he spoke with the artist formerly known as Kanye West this week about his recent Twitter activity.

As previously reported, Ye’s account was restricted (not permanently suspended) after a tweet shared last week that was widely called out as antisemitic. Ye’s Instagram, which has been a source of continued headlines as of late, was also restricted for violating site policy.

“Talked to ye today & expressed my concerns about his recent tweet, which I think he took to heart,” Musk said on Monday.

Earlier this month, Musk was reported by Bloomberg to have changed his mind about his much-discussed Twitter buyout by offering to buy the company at the originally proposed price. Days later, per the Associated Press, a judge was confirmed to have delayed the kickoff of a trial surrounding the tentative merger.

In lieu of social media on Monday, Ye shared a 30-minute short titled Last Week (but also referred to as War) to YouTube. Meanwhile, criticism over his recent remarks, as well as his featuring of a “white lives matter” design in the YZY SZN 9 show in Paris this month, has continued to mount.

John Legend, for example, shared a tweet about “free, independent thinkers” in which he didn’t mention Ye directly, although the intent was clear. Halloween Ends star Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Antonoff, and others have also called out Ye in recent days.

  • Meek Mill on Kanye West: ‘It’s like you hate your own people’

In a post shared on his Instagram Story, Meek Mill has given his thoughts on the artist formerly known as Kanye West amid his “White Lives Matter” t-shirt controversy.

“I used to listen to ye every night and jail for motivation on god!” Meek wrote. “And came home and watched him shit on my name and brand like nothing …. It hurts my heart to even know some of y’all this crazy and lame … ion need no verses from no n***as because I been hot since 13 @justinlaboy don’t invite me to none of them weird ass parties wit bro.”

In the post, which was accompanied by a clip of Ye criticizing the lyrical content of popular hip-hop songs, Meek suggested that the 45-year-old multi-hyphenate has internalized racism.

“What you be doing for fame driving you crazy… look how hard you came at me n***as know I’m vocal it’s like you hate your own people,” he continued. “You ain’t even post @vory album after all that work he did for you and he look up to you … you made sure you said Jack Harlow was the hottest in Kentucky overlooked est and vory.”

Ye, who has only doubled down on his “White Lives Matter” stance in a bizarre interview with Tucker Carlson, hasn’t responded to Meek’s comments yet. However, almost every celebrity who has been critical of him has received an intense post on Instagram calling them out. Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Diddy, and Supreme creative director Tremaine Emory have all faced Ye’s wrath over the past week.
