Highlife artist Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah, popularly known as Tic, has voiced his anger over the misuse of public funds by government officials.
He highlighted a shift in perception within African society, where it was once believed that thieves were mostly the uneducated and unemployed.
However, he argues that this is no longer the case.
Tic emphasized that today, it is often well-educated individuals in government roles who are manipulating budgets and forging documents to siphon public funds, which in turn devastates the nation.
“Growing up in africa, most people thought thieves were mostly the uneducated or unemployed people, but now everyone knows that it is completely wrong!
“The real thieves are the educated ones in coats with a pen to steal via forging figures and papers for silly explanations when they are caught,” he wrote on X.
Corruption continues to be a major problem in Ghana and across Africa, exacerbating the challenges faced by citizens amid ongoing economic difficulties.
