    He extended his condolence to the actress’ family, adding that, he is yet to personally reach out to her.

    Kwabena Kwabena made these statements on Neat FM, where he claimed to have heard the news just the previous night.

    ‘My condolence to the family. I have not reached out but I will, I heard about it last night. Of course, I will reach out and send my condolence,” he stated.

    Earlier on Monday, January 30, 2023, Ahuofe Patricia took to her Instagram page to announce the death of her mother, Susana Opoku.

    “I know you are resting, but I feel so lonely,” she wrote.

    Although the actress shared little details about the unfortunate incident, it generated commiseration messages from scores of celebrities.

    Ahoufe Patricia’s screen boyfriend, Kalybos, also commiserated with her;

    Ahuofe Patricia and Kwabena Kwabena’s rumored love affair
    There have been widespread rumours of Kwabena Kwabena and Ahoufe Patricia’s secret love affair in recent times.

    The likes of Afia Schwarzenegger and Kontihene once alleged that Kwabena Kwabena introduced Ahuofe Patricia to drugs and camped her at an undisclosed area in Kokrobite.

    Afia Schwarzenegger claimed that the actress’ family wasn’t in support of her relationship with Kwabena Kwabena.

    Interestingly the two have denied any of such allegations.

    In a recent discussion on United Showbiz, Ahuofe Patricia refuted the rumours.

    “I don’t even know him like that. The whole thing was a surprise to me and everybody. It was news to me too because I don’t know where all that came from. They were all created in people’s minds. People were doing so much detective work. He is someone I know. I’d say I know him just as I know Wendy Shay. I have met him too, just as I have met you, Abeiku. We are all in the entertainment industry,” She told Abeiku Santana.

    Kwabena Kwabena also stated in an interview with Delay that he had never even shared a residence with Ahuofe Patricia.

  • Good music does not always have to be in English – Kuami Eugene

    Talented Ghanaian highlife singer and songwriter, Kuami Eugene, has emphatically stated that good music should not always be in English as most people think.

    According to him, there are a lot of amazing songs people listen to without understanding, especially African music.

    Speaking to Rev. Erskine on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Show, Kuami Eugene said, “There are a lot of African music we don’t understand but still jam to, and I think music travels far regardless hence, you have to do good music and once it sounds good people jump on it.”

    However, he believes the language barrier will be a challenge if the artiste wants to make it on the international market.

    “If you’re able to break through that barrier, then you can do the O2 arena and other places because those coming to watch you want to sing along, and if they don’t understand anything about the music it’s quite difficult,” he explained.

    Citing Nigerians as an example, he mentioned language as an advantage for the Nigerian music industry, as they sing almost all their songs in English.

    “The fact that they use a lot of pidgin in their music and because it’s English, people understand what’s being said. So, when it’s played somewhere, it doesn’t have to be explained because they can understand everything being said in the song,” he said.

    The award-winning singer and songwriter noted that it’s not bad to love and respect your heritage and whatever you’re doing but also, it won’t be bad if our music gets out there because others understand what we’re talking about.

    “It’s good but if you really want to get on the international market you have to do something they’ll understand and that means adding a little of what they can relate to,” he discussed.

  • ‘Sounds great, I’ll do magic on it later’ – Tic on Mzbel’s ‘Asibolanga’ song

    It appears that some celebrities are lowkey grooving to Mzbel’s newly released ‘Asibolanga’ banger as Ghanaian highlife singer, Tic, has given a positive review of the song.

    Following the release of the much-anticipated song on October 28, 2022, scores of individuals flooded Mzbel’s comment section with compliments, and Tic’s comment was spotted among them.

    He dropped a number of fire emojis in endorsement of the latest tune, and this attracted an interesting question from a fan.

    The said fan requested that Tic add a verse to the already banging tune.

    “You’re supposed to add a touch to this song to take it to the next level.”

    The ‘Kwani Kwani’ hitmaker responded in the affirmative;

    “You mean like a feature or something? This song sounds great maybe later I will also do my magic in the meantime let’s enjoy it.”

    However, Mzbel’s new song is believed to be a jab at her old friend and now rival, Afia Schwarzenegger.

    The song’s controversial title, ‘Asibolanga’, is a name often used by Nana Tornado to refer to Afia after they fell out and started beefing each other on social media.

    Mzbel and Afia Schwarzenegger have been at each other’s throats for a couple of years now.

    The two have since been exposing secrets and throwing shade at each other at the least chance they get.
