The Electoral Commission’s (EC) Effutu Office concluded its limited registration on Wednesday, May 29, with a total of 4,659 eligible voters registered.
Among them were 2,369 males and 2,290 females.
During the registration process, there were 31 challenged cases based on residency status in the Effutu Municipality.
Returning Officer, Mr. Rufai Sabtiwu, disclosed to the Ghana News Agency that the registered figure surpassed the targeted 3000, marking a successful outcome despite a few instances of confusion outside the office.
Police intervention helped resolve these issues.
Mr. Sabtiwu urged political parties and stakeholders to continue educating people about the importance of a peaceful and successful electoral exercise.
