The Dormaa Daily Market in the Bono Region has been gutted by fire, destroying several shops.
The unfortunate incident is said to have occurred on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. The fire, according to the Ghana National Fire Service in a report filed, destroyed nine shops.
These shops had contents such as clothes, tailoring shop, diapers, plastics and food items.
Fortunately, no life was lost. Also, the firefighters managed to salvage five shops and their contents. It is suspected that the fire radiated from a ruined cold store.
The rampaging fire was fought directly and offensively with portable extinguishers and buckets of water.
