Tamale to host 2024 Cultural Oneness Festival, promoting African unity, diversity

Tamale, the capital of the Northern Region, is set to host this year’s Cultural Oneness Festival, aimed at promoting cultural diversity and uniting African people both domestically and in the diaspora.

Scheduled for November 13 – 16, the Cultural Oneness Festival will include cultural tours, particularly to tourist sites in the northern region, as well as a cultural fusion durbar involving chiefs and local residents.

Additionally, the festival will encompass a street carnival, exhibitions, and a business forum designed to empower youth in entrepreneurship. It will also feature a fashion show and culminate in a musical concert.

It is organised by The Taste of Afrika on the theme: “Leveraging Our Strength for Shared Growth and Prosperity”.

This year marks the second edition of the event following its inaugural success last year.

Chief Sung-Naa Martin Chris Glin, Co-Founder/Chairman of The Taste of Afrika, shared during a media briefing in Tamale that the Cultural Oneness Festival aims to foster unity among all Africans, both within the continent and in the diaspora.

He emphasized that the festival also aims to empower the population, particularly the youth, by promoting entrepreneurship and education to generate sustainable income.

Mr Tengol Kplemani, Co-Founder/Chief Executive Officer, The Taste of Afrika, urged members of the public to “Come out, let’s unite. Let’s build ourselves. Let’s get to know each other and let’s make our communities better for ourselves now and for future generations.”
