Renowned model Chrissy Teigen, has joyfully shared that she and her husband, singer John Legend, have welcomed their fourth child into their lives.
Their son, Wren Alexander Stephens, was born via surrogate, and the couple expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the surrogate for this precious and incredible gift.
The arrival of Wren brings immense happiness and fulfilment to their hearts and home, particularly after the devastating loss of their baby Jack during pregnancy in 2020, a painful experience that Chrissy had candidly written about.
Despite the challenges they encountered, the couple now embraces this new chapter with profound love and hope.
In her most recent post, she said she had “always wanted four children”.
“After losing Jack, I didn’t think I’d be able to carry any more babies on my own,” she wrote.
“In 2021, we reached out to a surrogacy agency, with our first correspondence inquiring about perhaps having 2 tandem surrogates, to each bring us a healthy baby boy or girl.”
During their journey, Chrissy Teigen revealed that she had a conversation with John Legend where she expressed her desire to try once more to carry a baby. Subsequently, they decided to embark on the IVF process again, which resulted in the birth of their daughter, Esti, in January 2023.
At that stage, Chrissy and John were in the early phases of exploring surrogacy and had the privilege of meeting Alexandra, whom Chrissy affectionately described as an exceptional and incredibly loving surrogate. Alexandra became an integral part of their lives during this process.
In a touching tribute to their surrogate, the couple bestowed their son with the middle name Alexander, symbolizing the deep appreciation and gratitude they hold towards her for her selflessness and compassion.
“And we are so happy to tell the world he is here, with a name forever connected to you,” she wrote.
Congratulations go out to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, who just confirmed their family addition.
People magazine reports the celebrity couple have welcomed their third child together. Legend reportedly announced the happy news during a private concert on Friday, telling the crowd their “little baby” had finally arrived just hours before. The Grammy winner said he “didn’t get a lot of sleep” by felt energized after spending “a lot of time” at the hospital.
Since tying the knot in 2013, Teigen and Legend have welcomed two other children: a 6-year-old daughter named Luna and a 4-year-old son named Miles. In 2020, the pair announced they were expecting a third child; however, she lost the pregnancy several months later due to health complications. Teigen opened up about the heartbreaking experience in a 2022 interview, admitting she had an abortion.
“… When I was pregnant with Jack, John and my third child, I had to make a lot of difficult and heartbreaking decisions,” she told The Hollywood Reporter last summer. “It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn’t either without any medical intervention.”
A month prior to the THR interview, Teigen and Legend revealed they were expecting another baby.
“The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” she wrote on Instagram. “1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way.”
The couple has yet to publicly announce the arrival.

American model Chrissy Teigen will have surgery to remove her breast implants, she has posted on social media.
“I’m getting my boobs out! They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it,” she wrote on Instagram.
Her honest explanation won praise online with many sending their best wishes in advance of the procedure.
Mrs. Teigen, 34, is also an author and TV personality and is known for her no-nonsense posts about family, politics, and Hollywood.
Mrs. Teigen, who is married to singer John Legend, said she will soon take a coronavirus test to prepare for the surgery.
She explained her decision to remove the implants on Instagram, where she has almost 30m followers.
“I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort!” she wrote.
“Don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat.”
In March Mrs Teigen told Glamour magazine that she got the implants when she was 20 for a job modelling swimsuits.
“But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed,” she told Glamour.
Her latest decision was applauded online including by model Naomi Campbell who wrote “be safe”.
“Have a safe surgery, babe. And thanks for always being so transparent! The world needs more of that,” replied Milly Almodovar, a popular beauty editor.
“Life changing, you’re gonna love it,” commented Canadian actress Ayesha Curry, adding that she made the same decision last year because her implants made her “sick”.
Mrs Teigen’s social media posts frequently make headlines.
She and her husband are both vocal critics of US President Donald Trump.
In 2019 Mr Trump called her “filthy-mouthed” in a tweet that also called her husband “boring” after Mr Legend spoke on TV about the need for criminal justice reform.
Mrs. Teigen’s response to the president went viral with an expletive-filled hashtag.
The mother-of-two is also known for posting pictures from her family life and trying to destigmatize issues such as breastfeeding.
In 2018 she was praised for posting a picture of her breastfeeding her baby on social media.
“Luna (Mrs. Teigen’s daughter) making me feed her baby doll so I guess I have twins now,” she wrote on Instagram.
And she also posted a picture of her son wearing a head-shaping helmet for the first time. The helmets are used to treat plagiocephaly and brachycephaly or flat head syndrome.
