    Unknown individuals steal from tombs in Dormaa cemetery, Bono Region

    At the Dormaa Ahenkuro cemetery in the Bono Area, about ten tombs have been pillaged by unidentified individuals.

    An assemblyman representing the Broniasua electoral district, Thomas Nsia Yaw, claims that about two weeks ago, residents first noticed a stink coming from the neighborhood.

    Further assessment indicated that it emanated from the area have come from the cemetery which had been closed for some time now as a result of continuous entombment.

    Speaking to Adom News, he noted that he went to the cemetery and has seen about 10 to 15 graves being opened by unknown persons.

    The Assembly member explains that similar incidents occurred in the same Cemetery about 2 years ago which took the intervention of Nananom, the Assembly, and other stakeholders to put a stop to.

    It is, however, unclear yet why the rationale behind its resurgence.

    But he suspects the scrap dealers indicating that they are fond of removing iron rods from buildings and the tombs to sell.

    The assemblyman added that his outfit will ensure that perpetrators are arrested.

    Mr Nsiah also lamented how difficult it has been getting personnel to guard the facility since the security man died.

    He says the assembly is talking terms with some people to ensure they get someone to guard the cemetery to prevent these nation wreckers from causing harm to people’s tombs which keeps affecting the health of the living.

  • Police kill robber after he stabbed man at Awudome Cemetery

    Police at Kaneshie on Friday night gunned down a suspected robber at the Awudome Cemetery after he had stabbed and robbed a passer-by.

    It was on his second attempt to rob another commuter when he was shot dead, according to police.

    A situational report made available by the police said the robber, part of a two-man gang, attacked a gentleman who was walking along the SSNIT Building heading towards Obetsebi Lamptey Roundabout.

    The gang stabbed him in the neck and robbed him of his black bag containing spare parts, his phone and a cash of GH¢250.

    He ran to the near-by police station for assistance but the robbers could not be traced when the police got there.

    The officers combed through the near-by bushes but did not find them.

    They then laid ambush and the robbers resurfaced in an attempt to rob another target.

    One of them, in his early 20s, according to the police report, was shot and the other managed to escape.

    The shot robber was rushed to the Police Hospital but was pronounced dead.

    His body has since been deposited at the Police Hospital mortuary for identification and autopsy.

  • Photos of a guy who was found at the cemetery feeding on dead bodies in the Ashanti Region

    Wonders shall never end. Two men by name Kwadee and Asawase Jay were found at a cemetery feeding on human skeleton in the Ashanti Region, Wawase in the Afigya Kwabre District.

    The incident occurred when a group of people were going to the cemetery to dig a hole which will be used to bury one Anthony, a native of the town.

    When they got to the cemetery, reports have it that, they found some skeletons lying around and one perosn asked, who would be bold enough to chew(eat) human skeleton. The one guy called Kwadee said he could and  so he picked some of the human skeleton and started chewing it in front of his friends, suddenly Asaase Jay also took some of the skeletal parts and started chewing to challenge his friend who has started the game.

    Those who went to the cemetery were amazed looking at how they were chewing the jaws of the dead. They came and reported it to the elders of the town and when they were sent for, the two of them took to their heels.

    Speaking to the Kontihene of the town on Kessben TV, the man said it is an abomination so they will deal with them. We will have to go to the cemetery and pour libation for the ancestors to have mercy on them.

    Speaking to One Mallam on the Breaking News on the same TV station he also revealed that,it might be that they are wizards or they ate it because they might have been ordered by a spiritualist to do so.
