Don’t come back if you travel outside Ghana – Captain Planet advises

Formerly leading the now-defunct Hiplife/Hip Hop group 4X4, Captain Planet is advocating for Ghanaians to explore opportunities abroad rather than returning to their homeland.

Expressing disillusionment with the country’s leadership, he asserts that Ghanaian authorities overlook the welfare of their citizens while amassing properties overseas.

Captain Planet emphasizes the stark contrast between the financial struggles of Ghanaians and the luxurious lifestyles of their leaders. He advises those with the means to leave not to return, underscoring the uncertainty of their future within Ghana’s borders.

In a candid post shared on X, Captain Planet urges Ghanaians to prioritize their well-being over notions of patriotism.

“If you’re fortunate enough to leave this country, please don’t come back. These leaders are only acquiring properties for their families & they don’t give a shit about you. Don’t die for this country in the name of being patriotic. Your future is not secured here. BE WISE,” he said.

Formerly of the renowned 4×4 musical group, Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey known popularly as Captain Planet has delivered a stark warning to Ghanaians fortunate enough to have relocated abroad, urging them not to consider returning amidst the current state of affairs in the country.

Emphasizing the perceived self-serving priorities of Ghana’s leaders, Captain Planet asserts that the relentless pursuit of personal wealth by those in power does not bode well for the well-being of the citizens.

Captain Planet voiced his concerns, asserting that individuals who invest their time and resources in the hope of a prosperous future for the nation may find their efforts futile due to the selfish nature of the country’s leaders.

He goes on to advise against blind patriotism, asserting that the leaders are primarily focused on acquiring properties for their families, neglecting the welfare of the populace.

“If you’re fortunate enough to leave this country, please don’t come back. These leaders are only acquiring properties for their families and they don’t give a sh*t about you. Don’t die for this country in the name of being patriotic. Your future is not secured here. BE WISE,”

Captain Planet expressed this in a message shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb.

As economic challenges continue to afflict Ghana, some aggrieved citizens express frustration, attributing the hardships to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta.
