Okyeame Kwame has once again shared his thoughts on the talents of Ghana’s new generation of rappers.
While he acknowledges the impressive work many young rappers are doing, he consistently names Amerado and Lyrical Joe as his top picks among them.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Okyeame Kwame shared, “Flowking Stone and EL are my favourite Ghanaian rappers. Their flow hits me in a unique way, but when it comes to the new generation, Amerado and Lyrical Joe are the ones who really move me.”
He praised Amerado and Lyrical Joe for their conceptual approach, style, skill, cadence, energy, and rhythm. This statement follows Okyeame Kwame’s earlier remarks to Graphic Showbiz last year, where he expressed his view that the current generation of Ghanaian rappers has surpassed the older generation in skill and creativity.
“For me, I don’t think there should be a debate or any questions raised on this. The young ones are completely better than us, and that is the whole essence of evolution.
In the interview, Okyeame Kwame highlighted Amerado and Lyrical Joe as two younger rappers whose rap delivery even surpasses his own.
