Real Madrid stranded at airport ahead of Man City clash

Prior to playing Man City on May 17 in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal, Real Madrid experienced a little setback in their preparations.

The Los Blancos players arrived at Manchester Airport on Tuesday, May 16, but they were stuck there for more than 30 minutes because their coach was late.

The players were reportedly seen waiting for their bus at terminal 2, and head coach Carlo Ancelotti did not appear happy about the situation, according to The Sun.

Luka Modric’s facial expressions also looked like someone who would have preferred to be anywhere else than in the airport.

However, Vinicius Junior and Eder Militao appeared to be in high spirits as they chatted with their teammates.

The latter will be available after missing the first leg through suspension, where the former starred with a beauty of a goal.

Real Madrid fans will be hoping that the minor delay didn’t affect the team’s plans and morale ahead of the crunch tie at the Etihad.

The duel is evenly balanced at one-all after Kevin De Bruyne cancelled out Vinicius’ goal.

The winner of the tie will face Inter Milan in the June 10 final in Istanbul.

Kyle Walker vs Vinicius Junior

Sports Brief has also reported that Kyle Walker has explained the reason behind his warm embrace with Vinicius Junior after the first leg of Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League tie with Real Madrid.

The English right-back had an eventful battle with Vinicius on the right flank, and the two are set to rekindle their rivalry when Man City host the Spanish giants at the Etihad Stadium in the return leg.

Kyle Walker and Vinicius enjoyed a heartwarming moment after Man City’s draw with Real Madrid.

With the tie finely poised at one-all, both Walker and Vinicius will be expected to put up splendid performances to push their respective clubs over the line in their pursuit of European glory.
