Manchester United star Marcus Rashford unintentionally made a social media blunder while sending his farewell message to David de Gea.
Like many other United players, Rashford took a moment to honor the departing Spanish goalkeeper after his departure from Old Trafford.
However, in the process, Rashford made an inadvertent mistake on social media.
“I would like to express my unwavering gratitude and appreciation for the love from the last 12 years. We’ve achieved a lot since my dear Sir Alex Ferguson brought me to this club,” his statement said in part.
According to Metro UK, the shot-stopper’s decision to quit United came after the club failed to offer him a new contract after the expiry of his deal at the end of June.

As a result, his teammates at Old Trafford were quick to take to social media to send him a farewell message, with others reminiscing the fond memories they shared.
However, The Mirror reports that Rashford ended up committing a blunder in his Instagram post, with the forward’s message suggesting it was picked from the draft ideas.
“Caption ideas: You were here from my breakthrough, good luck with your next step, brother,” Rashford’s initial post said.
The England international has since edited out the words ‘caption ideas’ but kept the rest of the message.
Meanwhile, Man United have since embarked on finding a replacement for De Gea, with Inter Milan keeper, Andre Onana, believed to be a top priority.
