Black Stars of Ghana have made a regal entrance into Ivory Coast, adorned in vibrant and elaborately crafted kente, symbolising the rich cultural heritage of the Akan tribe.
This traditional attire reflects the team’s pride and unity as they prepare to partake in the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the continent’s premier football festival.
Ghana will be headquartered in Abijan, where they will compete in all three group stage matches.
The tournament, featuring the top 24 teams in Africa, commences on Saturday, January 13, 2024, with Ghana emerging as one of the favourites to contend for the title.
Paired in Group B alongside Egypt, Mozambique, and Cape Verde, Ghana’s journey kicks off against Cape Verde at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium.
The team’s arrival in vibrant kente attires signifies not just a football campaign but a celebration of Ghana’s cultural richness on the continental stage.
