Nottingham Forest enters race for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi

Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest has emerged as a leading contender to secure the services of Chelsea’s winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The player’s future with his current London-based club has been uncertain.

Hudson-Odoi was on the verge of a transfer to Fulham in the ongoing transfer window; however, the move encountered obstacles, creating an opportunity for other clubs to enter the fray.

Serie A side Lazio from Italy has shown interest in the talented forward, yet they will face competition from Nottingham Forest, a fellow Premier League team, as the latter strives to solidify their position in the top tier during the ongoing season.

At 22 years of age, Hudson-Odoi has faced challenges related to injuries and a decline in form. Consequently, Chelsea is seeking to offload him.

Despite a promising initial period at Chelsea, during which the club rejected enticing offers from Bayern Munich, the English-born Ghanaian player has not lived up to expectations.

In the previous season, he had a loan stint with Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga, aimed at fostering his development and preparing him for a return to Chelsea’s primary squad.

However, it appears that Hudson-Odoi may not align with the requirements of the current manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
