No Bribe: Meet the £20,000-a-day Lawyer who made Manchester City’s ban overturned

Manchester City have successfully had their European Ban overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

The English giants were handed a Two year ban earlier this year by UEFA after being found guilty of breaking of club licensing and financial fair play regulations as well as overstating the Sponsorship Revenue.

Manchester therefore hired a £20,000-a-day lawyer to appeal against then ban at the Court of Arbitration for Sports. David Pannick QC is the man City hired to help them have the ban overturned and he has successfully achieved it.

The 63 year old is one of the best lawyers in the United Kingdom and has helped in great cases in UK. Panick has helped block Brexit twice. In 2016, Panick successfully stopped Theresa May from taking Great Britain out of the European Union without Parliamentary consent.

He also achieved success last year when a case was taken to court by Mrs Miller after declaring that Boris Johnson had given the Queen unlawful advice as he wanted to prorogue Parliament.

David Pannick is not new in Manchester City cases as in 2013, he represented Manchester City at the Appeal Court to force former boss Joe Royle to pay back £467,000 in compensation and legal costs.

Panick has now helped Manchester City have their European Ban overturned and the Citizens will now participate in the Champions League next season.
