Mohammed Salisu on radar of Monaco

Reports in France indicate that Mohammed Salisu, a highly promising Ghanaian defender, is attracting the attention of Ligue 1 team AS Monaco.

Crystal Palace appears prepared to make a substantial move in their pursuit of Salisu, seeking to add his defensive brilliance and enormous potential to their ranks. They have an eye for talent and a desire to strengthen their squad.

Axel Disasi is planning to join a new team, and Malang Sarr, who was on loan to Monaco, has returned to Chelsea, so Monaco is looking for a defender.

Salisu, 24, moved to the Saints from Real Valladolid during the summer 2020 transfer window and has since established himself as an important member of the squad.

Unfortunately, injuries this season has meant that he missed a lot of games.

Southampton was relegated to the Championship after their 2-0 defeat to Fulham.

Salisu made his Southampton debut on 11 February 2021, six months after signing for the club, playing the full 90 minutes and keeping a clean sheet in a 2–0 FA Cup away victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers as Danny Ings and Stuart Armstrong scored a goal each to send Southampton through to the quarter-finals of the competition.

He made 22 appearances and assisted one goal in the Premier League this season.
