Ghana’s Jamie Leweling joins Stuttgart on loan

Jamie Leweling, a Ghanaian of German descent who plays for Vfl Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, has officially joined the team.

The 22-year-old is a season-long loanee from Union Berlin of the same Bundesliga.

The resourceful attacker signed a contract on Friday morning and is anticipated to be a key player for the team come next season.

Reacting to the acquisition of Leweling, the Sporting Director of Stuttgart Fabian Wohlgemuth said, “Jamie can be used in several positions. He gained Bundesliga experience in Fürth and at Union Berlin and proved his qualities. With his footballing skills and intense style of play, Jamie is an asset to our offensive game”

The forward has a contract with Union Berlin that runs until summer 2026.

Despite featuring for Germany at youth level, Leweling is still eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana.
