Fans are perplexed by Kylian Mbappe’s most recent Instagram post, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain.
Tuesday night’s Winners League round of 16 encounter pitted the defending Ligue 1 champions against Bayern Munich, the dominant team in the German Bundesliga.
Due to a recent muscle injury, Mbappe started the game on the sidelines, putting Neymar and Lionel Messi in charge of penetrating Bayern’s defense.
Kingsley Coman, a former player for Paris Saint-Germain, scored the game’s only goal in the 53rd minute to give Julian Nagelsmann’s team a slim 1-0 lead for the Bavarian club, which ultimately prevailed in the closely contested match.
With work to be done in the second leg, Mbappe took to Instagram to send a message to his fans after the disappointing display against Bayern.
Having posted a message in French, the translation tool on Instagram has got fans all confused.
Mbappe’s posted a picture with a message that read: “Tout reste à faire…” which normally would translate to “Everything remains to be done…”.
However, the message was weirdly translated as “All that remains to be done…Manchester United’s team is now on @psg.”
Naturally, Manchester United fans were quick to react to the glitch.
One fan said: “Does that mean Qatar are buying us and Mbappe is joining too???”
Another tweeted: “That translation thing does not actually translate what you wrote, it simply reads your mind and says it out loud.”
A third fan added: “Bro this translation got me confused. I need help!”
Someone else commented: “Bro just come to Manchester United already.”
The fact that United star Marcus Rashford commented on the post will only add fuel to the fire amid all the speculation about the club’s potential new owners.
It has been reported that the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani is expected to launch a bid to buy United after the Glazer family put the club on sale.
