Kudus needs to be a bit more mature – Man United legend Gary Neville

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has offered advice to West Ham United winger Mohammed Kudus, urging him to improve his decisiveness to elevate his game.

While Neville was impressed with Kudus’ performance against Brentford on February 26, 2024, he noted that the Ghanaian player could have been more effective with the ball.

Neville specifically highlighted Kudus’ final decision-making as an area for improvement, emphasising the importance of being decisive in crucial moments.

As a former manager of Valencia, Neville also encouraged Kudus to embrace unpredictability in his playing style, suggesting that adding this element to his game could further enhance his performance on the field.

“Kudus has got something, but he just needs to be a bit more mature in his final choices. Sometimes wingers can be unpredictable, but they need to be unpredictable not just to the opposition but also to their own teammates.

In the first half, he took one or two wild shots instead of making a final pass.

“And I did say in that first half that the one thing David Moyes could say at halftime was for him to be a little bit more precise in what he was doing and that third goal came from him being more direct and putting in that lovely cross for Jarrod Bowen, which was a big moment in the game,” he added.

Mohammed Kudus contributed an assist in West Ham United’s 4-2 victory over Brentford at the London Stadium.

With this assist, Kudus has now accumulated six goals and two assists in the Premier League this season, marking an impressive debut campaign for the talented player.
