Jodi knows me to perfection – Messi

Lionel Messi has identified
the player he believes understands him “to perfection.”

Throughout his illustrious and highly successful career, the football icon has had the privilege of playing alongside some of the world’s finest footballers.

Andres Iniesta, David Villa, Xavi Hernandez, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar Junior are just a few of the talented players with whom the Argentine has shared the locker room.

However, according to the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, there is only one player who truly comprehends him.

During his time as a member of the formidable La Blaugrana, Messi stated that Jordi Alba is the individual with whom he has cultivated an unparalleled understanding.

Jordi Alba knows me to perfection,” he told Catalunya Radio, via Barcelona’s official website. “He knows when I will give him a no-look pass. I have a special connection with him,” he added.
Messi and Alba struck up a perfect partnership together during their time at Camp Nou. According to Sportbible, the Spaniard assisted 23 of the Argentine’s 672 goals for the Catalans.

Alba, Messi reunite in MLS
While the two football stars parted ways in 2021 after Messi switched the La Liga giants for Paris Saint-Germain, they are set to reunite at Inter Miami.

Alba recently sealed a move to the Major League Soccer franchise, in a transfer that saw him join the David Beckham co-owned team.

Messi made a blockbuster move to the American League in the summer on a free transfer from the Parisians and has already netted three times in just two games.
