Former Blackstars Captain Asamoah Gyan, who retired from active football two years ago, has recently obtained a UEFA B coaching licence.
Despite being approached by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to coach a national team, he declined the offer.
Gyan explained in an interview that while he’s not opposed to coaching in the future, he believes the timing isn’t right at the moment.
He hinted at a potential coaching role down the line, stating, “I won’t entirely rule out the possibility to coach because we don’t know what the future holds.”
Asamoah Gyan is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as a striker.
He is a former captain of the Ghana national team.
