Ghana’s Patrick Twumasi leads Maccabi Netanya to victory

Ghana international, Patrick Twumasi was in fine form on Tuesday night and inspired Maccabi Netanya to overcome Maccabi Haifa 2-1 in the Israeli Cup.

In today’s pivotal second-leg match of the quarterfinal match, the forward started for his club.

Patrick Twumasi was expected to perform better today after scoring in the first leg of the tie, which ended 2-2.

Sadly for his squad, Dia Saba of Maccabi Haifa scored the game’s opening goal in the 28th minute.

Liran Rotman scored later in the 49th minute of the second half to give Maccabi Netanya a point back.

With the game travelling into extra time, Patrick Twumasi made himself the hero for his team as his 99th-minute equaliser sealed a 2-1 win for Maccabi Netanya against Maccabi Haifa.

The win has sent the Ghana forward and his teammates to the semi-finals of the Israeli Cup.
