Kamaldeen Sulemana swerves Everton, set to join Southampton on transfer deadline day

Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana is reportedly set to join Southampton this window.

Earlier reports suggested Rennes have accepted both Southampton and Everton’s 25 million Euros bid for the transfer of the Ghanaian player.

Both clubs were working around the clock to seal the transfer of the forward before the window shuts tonight.

But according to L’Equipe, the 20-year has turned down the Toffees and is set to join Southampton.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate has struggled for game time this season following injuries in the first half of the campaign.

He has made 14 appearances and scored one goal in the Ligue 1 this season for Rennes.

Sulemana has made 47 appearances in Ligue 1 for Stade Rennais since joining from Stade Rennais in the summer of the 2021.
