The schedule for the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League (GPL) has been revealed, sparking enthusiasm among football fans all over the country.
The league will kick off from September 15 to 18, with matches taking place at various venues nationwide.
One of the most anticipated fixtures will be the clash between arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, set to take place in Accra, adding to the excitement of the competition.
The current champions, Medeama SC, will begin their title defense at home against Accra Lions FC, while Aduana FC will face FC Samartex in their opening match.
Newly promoted teams will start their journey with away matches, with Heart of Lions FC renewing their rivalry against Asante Kotoko SC at the Baba Yara Stadium, promising an enthralling encounter for football enthusiasts.
The first round of the season will conclude on December 29, 2023, followed by a one-month break to accommodate the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire, taking place from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
