Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has unveiled a 55-man provisional squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the list on December 20, just 24 days before the tournament kicks off.
The squad features 11 Ghana Premier League players, with Medeama SC contributing the most players (5).
Other players come from Great Olympics, Dreams FC, Asante Kotoko, and Nations FC. Notable inclusions are Thomas Partey, Tariq Lamptey, and Kamaldeen Sulemana, despite ongoing injury concerns.
Yaw Yeboah, fresh from winning the 2023 MLS Cup with Columbus Crew, earns his first call-up under Hughton, along with Brandon Thomas-Asante.
