Dormaahene, Nana Agyeman Badu II, has directed that Ghana captain Andre Dede Ayew be honored in Dormaa.
In June, Ayew and some of his Black Stars teammates played a ceremonial game organized by the BAC Group in Dormaa Ahenkro, marking the U20 FIFA World Cup winner’s first visit and game in the Bono Region.
Appreciating the presence of Ayew and his teammates, Dormaahene Nana Agyeman Badu II announced that the first male child born at the Dormaa hospital on July 23 would be named after Andre Ayew.
Fulfilling this directive, the baby boy, born to Mr. Appiah Tuffuor, a teacher with the Ghana Education Service at 02:05 am, has been given the name of Andre Ayew.
The Dormaahene expressed his delight and donated an undisclosed amount of money to the family during the baby boy’s naming ceremony.
The event attracted a large gathering of residents from Dormaa, who came to witness this historic occasion honoring Andre Ayew for his exceptional leadership.
