Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has lauded Black Sherif for winning an award at the BET Hip Hop Awards.
KK Rasta, the trap star renowned for his hit track ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ and other chart-topping songs such as ‘Second Sermon,’ ‘Yaya,’ and ‘Simmer Down,’ has been making waves after winning his first BET Hip Hop Award.
Black Sherif was honored with the Best International Flow award at the BET Hip Hop Awards pre-show ceremony held in Atlanta, USA, last night. An elated Blacko attended the ceremony in person to accept his award.
This achievement makes Black Sherif the second Ghanaian artist ever to receive this globally recognized accolade.
His accomplishment has drawn praise from his fans and fellow top Ghanaian music stars, including Sarkodie, who was the first artist to win in this category when it was first introduced.
Sarkodie historically clinched the Best International Flow award at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2019, becoming the first Ghanaian artist to be honored by this prestigious Hip Hop awards scheme.
In recognition of Black Sherif’s achievement, the Ghanaian rap icon posted a photo of Black Sherif at the BET Hip Hop Awards ceremony to congratulate and commend him.
In a two-worded caption that came with the post, he wrote ‘International Blacko’.
