The transfer market has already closed, but the speculation surrounding Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski’s potential move to Saudi Arabia persists.
Sport reports that Abha Club, a team in the Saudi Pro League, remains interested in securing the services of the Polish international.
Saad Bguir, a midfielder for Abha, openly expressed his belief that Lewandowski would be the perfect addition to their squad.
“We need top players like Lewandowski,” Bguir said. “That’s the kind of signing we should make if possible.”
Lewandowski, 35, shut the door on a move to the Middle East in the summer, instead preferring to stay at Barça, who he joined from Bayern Munich for €45m in 2022.
He has made a good start to the campaign, scoring six times in his last five starts for the Blaugrana and setting up three more goals.
