Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has announced his political aspirations, asserting that leadership is not defined by one’s ability to speak fluent English.
During his announcement to fans, the Shatta Movement leader revealed that his father has been encouraging him to form a political party to address the challenges facing Ghana.
Confident in his substantial fanbase, Shatta Wale called on Ghanaians to support his political ambitions.
He emphasized his plan to appoint knowledgeable experts in various fields to improve the country’s situation if given the opportunity.
“Politics is not about big grammar. We speak local languages. I just need heads, people who know, and let’s see if Ghana won’t change. But we have left the country, so sometimes when I am talking about development, people don’t get it,” Shatta Wale explained.
He also shared his vision for the youth and the nation, urging them to unite and disregard negative rumors about him.
“We are all involved, and nobody is out of this. This is where we are from. If we start now, people can come together to support,” he concluded.
