Al-Rayyan, a Qatari team, have confirmed the acquisition of Rodrigo, formerly a record signing for Leeds United.
In 2020, Leeds invested £27 million to secure the services of the Spanish forward from Valencia, subsequent to their reentry into the Premier League.
Over the course of his tenure at the club, the 32-year-old showcased his talent in 97 matches across various competitions, finding the back of the net 28 times.
A statement on the Leeds website said: “We thank Rodrigo for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future.”
As Leeds United face the challenge of competing in the Sky Bet Championship after their relegation, they have recently bid farewell to Rodrigo, who has moved to the Qatar Stars League.
The Spanish forward’s departure marks another change for the team, now under the guidance of their new manager, Daniel Farke.
During the ongoing summer transfer window, Leeds United has also witnessed the departure of several other players.
Defenders Diego Llorente and Robin Koch, along with midfielder Brenden Aaronson, have embarked on season-long loan spells, joining Roma, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Union Berlin respectively.
