Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya constituency, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has responded to rumors of being considered as a running mate by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the upcoming general elections.
Adwoa Safo acknowledged that it is the vice president’s prerogative to choose his running mate and stated that if her name is indeed on the list, then she asks for prayers from the public.
When asked if she believes it is time for a woman to be considered as a running mate, Adwoa Safo did not directly answer but instead highlighted the importance of the decision and the need for the public to pray for her if she is indeed being considered.
The selection of a running mate for the 2024 elections by Dr. Bawumia is highly anticipated, especially after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) named Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as their running mate. The final decision on Dr. Bawumia’s running mate is yet to be announced.
