FC Samartex 1996, a Ghana Premier League team, has officially announced the appointment of Nurudeen Amadu as their new head coach, according to GHANAsoccernet.com.
Following the departure of Annor Walker at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, the 52-year-old coach will take the reins at the club.
Walker departed to rejoin Great Olympics FC.
Amadu, an experienced trainer, has signed a two-year contract with the Samreboi-based club. His appointment is expected to guide FC Samartex to greater achievements in the upcoming season.
In their debut campaign in the Ghanaian top-flight, Samartex secured a 10th-place finish in the league standings after 34 matches, accumulating a total of 46 points.
Prior to joining FC Samartex, Amadu served as the coach for Future Stars FC, where he achieved remarkable results with the Division One side last season.
He was coach of King Faisal Babes in the Ghana Premier League from June 2021 to April last year when he resigned from his position.
He has previously been in charge of clubs like Wa All Stars, Bolga All Stars, and Aduana Stars.
Amadu has also worked as assistant coach of the Ghana U17 and U20 national teams.
