Accra came to a standstill on Sunday, June 9, 2024, as Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II visited the Ga State at the invitation of Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II in a grand durbar.
A special durbar was held in honour of the Asantehene at the Ga Mantse’s Palace, attracting numerous dignitaries who gathered to pay homage to the two traditional rulers.
Among the attendees were members of the East Legon Executive Club, one of Ghana’s most exclusive associations, comprising some of the country’s most successful and wealthy business tycoons.
They made a grand entrance with a convoy of luxurious cars.
A video spotted online shows an impressive lineup of extravagant vehicles driven by club members to the event, including various editions of the Mercedes G-Class (G-Wagon), multiple Rolls Royces, a Bugatti Veyron, a Cadillac Escalade, and other Mercedes models.
The club, led by Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, owner of Despite Media Group and Companies, paid their respects to both the Asantehene and the Ga Mantse during the durbar.
