Ningo Prampram Member of Parliament Sam George recently engaged in a heated exchange with a Twitter user who demanded a running mate from the Volta Region.
The Twitter user’s post was in response to Sam George’s comments about the National Democratic Congress (NDC) rewarding Volta supporters for their long standing loyalty.

Sam George’s initial post had sought assistance from a tourism expert from the Volta Region for an upcoming project.
However, when confronted by the Twitter user’s demand for a Volta Region running mate, Sam George defended the NDC’s commitment to the region and questioned what the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had done for Voltarians since 2016.
In his response, Sam George dismissed the demand as myopic and highlighted the NDC’s investments in the Volta Region, such as the University and Airport projects.

He also pointed out the significant voter support the NDC has received from the region.
The exchange sparked a mixed reaction on social media, with some advising Sam George to choose his words carefully while others urged him to remain composed.
As the country approaches the 2024 general elections, tensions and debates over leadership suitability continue to dominate the political landscape.
