May Day: Ghanaian workers are worse off in current times – NAGRAT Vice President

Vice President of the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), Jacob Anaaba has painted a grim picture of the current situation facing Ghanaian workers this May Day.

In a candid interview on JoyNews’ AM Show, Anaaba highlighted the challenging conditions confronting teachers, including high taxes, soaring living expenses, and a lack of adequate recognition for their contributions.

He expressed deep concern over the hardships faced by workers and called for urgent government intervention to alleviate their plight.

Anaaba’s remarks underscored a sombre mood among Ghanaian workers, with little cause for celebration amid ongoing struggles.

“As for the Ghanaian worker, there is nothing to celebrate about. As teachers, we are only proud when our students are doing well and progressing in life. We are coupled with high taxes, high cost of living and when we expect SSNIT to tell us something good, they are rather breaking our hearts,” he insisted.
