As the celebration of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s birthday approaches on September 21, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has called upon Ghanaians to honor and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Nkrumah not just on his birthday, but continuously.

Armah-Kofi Buah also expressed concern about the deteriorating condition of Dr. Nkrumah’s Museum at Nkroful, his birthplace and initial burial site.

Mr Buah acknowledged the significance of Dr. Nkrumah’s contributions to Ghana and Africa, and emphasized the importance of preserving and celebrating his legacy.

Buah invited the public to join him in celebrating Dr. Nkrumah’s birthday and expressed his commitment to transform Nkroful into a central hub for commemorating Dr. Nkrumah’s life and achievements.

He also addressed attempts to diminish Dr. Nkrumah’s legacy, emphasizing that it remains strong and enduring in the hearts of many Ghanaians and Africans.

Nana Sanzah Erzah, a member of the Dr. Nkrumah Memorial Day celebration and Ebusuapanyin of Nkroful, commended Buah for his leadership role in upholding Dr. Nkrumah’s place in Ghana’s history.

He pledged to utilize the donation to renovate the museum, replace damaged furniture, and beautify the surroundings before September 21.

The Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Museum at Nkroful holds great historical significance, as it recounts the story of Dr. Nkrumah’s birth and his initial burial place upon his return to Ghana after his passing. Despite its importance, the museum has suffered neglect and deterioration over the years, warranting efforts to restore and preserve it as part of the national celebration of Dr. Nkrumah’s legacy.
