Professor Joshua Alabi, the campaign manager of John Mahama, expressed strong confidence in his candidate’s victory in the NDC flagbearership contest, predicting an overwhelming margin.
He stated that John Mahama would emerge victorious with an impressive 99.9% of the total valid votes cast.
Professor Alabi shared these remarks during a short visit to the voting center at Zenith University College, where the ongoing La Dadekotopon Constituency primaries of the NDC are taking place.
“My expectation is for His Excellency John Mahama to make above what he made in the previous election; which is above 85%, closing to 99.9%”, he said.
The former President is going up against a former Mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu.
Mr Bonsu has expressed optimism in winning the race. However, he has entreated the rank and file of the party to accept the outcome of the elections whichever way it goes.
