Ghanaian actress Janet Ackom known as Mama Jane, recently unveiled a decade-spanning romantic entanglement with the late renowned actor Asonaba Kwaku Darko, aka Super OD.

Speaking candidly on Atinka FM’s Efisem program with Akosua High Tension, she shared intimate details of their relationship.

The story began with an unexpected twist when Ackom recounted how their initial encounter involved Super OD spiking her drink without her knowledge, leading to an incident she hadn’t consented to.

Upon awakening, she discovered they had been intimate, and Super OD sternly claimed exclusivity over their relationship, warning her against involvement with other men under the threat of physical harm and professional consequences.

“Yes, Super OD and I were an item for a solid decade. I recall a time when we went to a hotel. At 21, I was quite the looker. I opted for a Fanta, oblivious to the fact that OD had tampered with my drink. I lost consciousness, only to realize later that he had been with me.

“He made it clear that I was to reject advances from other men, particularly our colleagues, threatening physical harm and professional repercussions if I disobeyed,” she recounted.

Despite the rocky start, Ackom reflected on the positive impact Super OD had on her life.
