A remembrance service to honor Dr. Joseph Boakye Danquah (JB), a founding father of Ghana’s independence, took place in Kyebi, Eastern Region, on Sunday, February 4, 2024, 59 years after his passing.
The event, held at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church of Ghana, was part of activities commemorating Dr. Danquah’s legacy and organizing a fitting burial for the statesman.
Dr. Danquah, arrested in 1964 for alleged involvement in an attempted assassination of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, passed away on February 4, 1965, aged 70.
