The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is reeling from the loss of Otchere Juliet Junty, a third-year Nursing student hailed as one of the department’s brightest minds.

This marks the seventh student death in just three months, casting a sombre shadow over the campus.

Juliet, also an alumna of Keta Senior High School‘s 2020 batch, leaves behind a legacy of academic excellence and determination.

Her passing comes shortly after the loss of Abena Antwiwaa Anti, a promising second-year Doctor of Pharmacy student whose untimely death on March 18, 2024, deepened the sorrow within the university community.

These tragic events have sparked concerns about student well-being and safety, prompting reflection and mourning among faculty, staff, and students alike.
