Kasoa: Man hangs himself to death after girlfriend dumped him to marry another

A heartbreaking incident has surfaced, revealing the unfortunate demise of a young Ghanaian man named Yaw, who tragically took his own life following a breakup with his girlfriend Gifty.

Reports indicate that Yaw and Gifty had been in a relationship for nearly six years. However, throughout their time together, Yaw was reportedly abusive towards Gifty, subjecting her to physical harm.

Feeling overwhelmed by the ongoing mistreatment, Gifty made the difficult decision to end the relationship and relocate to Kumasi.

In Kumasi, she found solace in a new partner, opting to move forward with her life away from Yaw.

After discovering Gifty’s decision to end their relationship and marry another person, Yaw initially tried to end his life by ingesting DDT. Thankfully, he was rescued in time.

However, in a tragic turn of events, Yaw ultimately chose to take his own life by hanging himself from a tree.

Before his demise, Yaw left behind a poignant note expressing his deep regret. In part, his note reads:

“I met a woman whom I deeply loved. She cared for me, guided me, and protected me, but I took her for granted… I cannot bear to see her marrying another man.”
