Broadcast journalist Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as Captain Smart, has threatened to publish some videos that show the corrupt nature of some journalists whom he says side with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a video gone viral, he challenged the host of Peace FM’s Kokrokroo show, Kwame Sefa Kayi and others, whom he says belong to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), criticizing them for what he perceived as seeking positions and favors through corrupt means.
“You NPP dogs, you are going round begging for positions. I was given a deputy minister position and I rejected it. I was given Chieftaincy and I said I didn’t want it. Ask Frema Opare. I was given a Land Cruiser, but I didn’t want it. You are in this country seeking positions and cars,” he said.
He alleged that some of these individuals have engaged in immoral acts and also deal in drugs. According to Captain Smart, he has evidence to bring these politicians down.
“My Board Chair has not slept with a lady in the garage and had to GHC100,000. My CEO does not deal in cocaine.
“Bring it on. The videos I will be playing. The videos I will leak, you will clap for me. Why do you think David went up against Goliath. Just one stone,” he added.
Prior to this, Kwame Sefa Kayi, a respected journalist and media personality, challenged broadcaster Captain Smart’s assertion that John Kumah, the Deputy Finance Minister, was poisoned.
Sefa Kayi questioned the basis for such a claim, emphasizing the need for concrete evidence before making such serious allegations.
“Now we are asking, you that said he died due to poisoning, bring the evidence. Where will you bring it,” he said on the Kokrokoo show.
The Ejisu Member of Parliament, Dr John Kumah, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Since news broke, there have been contradictory reports on the cause of his death.
