I left my baby mama because I was addicted to sex – Rapper Cassper Nyovest

Renowned South African rapper Cassper Nyovest revealed the reasons behind his split with Thobeka Majozi, the mother of his son.

The multiple award-winning artist, who welcomed a son with Majozi in September 2020, admitted to a past struggle with sex addiction and acknowledged the pain he caused during their relationship.

Nyovest, speaking candidly about the breakup, confessed to creating a serious mess and hurting his baby mama.

He disclosed a period of self-reflection that led him to a transformative change, embracing a newfound faith as a born-again Christian.

“I was addicted to sex and sexual immorality in general. I had such a big ego, and I thought I was better than everyone else. I was humble in the sense that I was a good person, and I didn’t offend anyone. I was headed straight for hell if I didn’t have that wake-up,” the rapper shared during a recent podcast episode hosted by South Africa’s Mpoomy Ledwaba.

With his revelation, Cassper Nyovest sheds light on the challenges he faced and the personal growth that has transpired since the breakup, signalling a significant shift in his life and values.

Refiloe Maele Phoolo, professionally known as Cassper Nyovest, is a South African rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, record producer and amateur boxer.

Born and raised in Mahikeng, North West, he is regarded as one of the most successful artists in South Africa.
