I had to leave – Kurl Songx tells why he left Highly Spiritual Records

Ghanaian artist Kelvin Agyekum known popularly as Kurl Songx expressed gratitude to Highly Spiritual Records for shaping his music career, acknowledging their pivotal role in his music journey.

However, he discussed the natural progression for artists to explore new opportunities, emphasising the importance of growth and business-minded decisions.

In an interview on TV XYZ’s Xzone with Afia Owusu, the “Jennifer Lomotey” hitmaker reflects on the significance of artist management, attributing his success to proper guidance.

“Where I am now, if it weren’t for Highly Spiritual, I wouldn’t be here. It’s important for us to grow, and sometimes as business-minded individuals, we may not want to remain with one label for too long. Eventually, the time comes when artists want to explore other opportunities and see what comes next.

“For me, having management is crucial. It has helped me tremendously,” Kurl Songx stated.
