Popular Ghanaian chef Faila Razak, notable for her Guinness World Record (GWR) attempt for the longest cooking marathon, shared in a recent exclusive interview with TV3 the challenges she faced during her quest to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest individual cooking marathon.
During the marathon that totaled an astounding 227 hours, Chef Faila disclosed a critical moment when she fell ill.
Despite the adversity, she emphasised that the decision to undertake the challenge was entirely voluntary, without external pressure from her team.
In the interview, Chef Faila expressed her unwavering commitment, asserting that she would have been proud even if she hadn’t overcome the difficulties while pursuing the record.
Her dedication, she revealed, extended to a willingness to sacrifice her life for the people who believed in and supported her journey.
Beyond personal achievement, Faila underscored her motivation to make history and reshape the narrative of her family and the Northern region of Ghana, her place of origin.
Acknowledging the importance of the encouragement she received from those around her, Chef Failatu Abdul Razak expressed gratitude for the support that played a pivotal role throughout the arduous ten-day cooking marathon.
Having concluded her attempt, the official Guinness World Records X page expressed anticipation, asserting, “We look forward to reviewing her evidence!”
