Media Personality, Afua Asantewaa has expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support she received from fellow Ghanaians during her Guinness World Records (GWR) sing-a-thon attempt in December 2023.
Defying the notion that Ghanaians do not support their own, Afua shared her heartfelt appreciation on Okay FM, recounting the incredible backing she received.
In an exclusive interview, Afua asserted, “I am proof that Ghanaians support their own, looking at how they rallied behind me during the sing-a-thon. I will forever be grateful for the support of Ghanaians. Some ladies stayed at the venue throughout the period. I don’t know how they bathed or survived. It was amazing.”
Encouraged by the overwhelming show of solidarity, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has now declared her intention to reattempt the Guinness World Records sing-a-thon, following the setback of her initial attempt.
“If Ghanaians would ever want me to do this [sing-a-thon attempt] again, with the permission of my management and husband, I am ready to do it,” disclosed Afua.
Her willingness to give it another shot has sparked excitement among her supporters, with many expressing their eagerness to witness her make another record-breaking attempt.
