Ghanaian comic character Funny Face has opened up in an exclusive interview, seeking redemption for his actions after being involved in a near-fatal accident that nearly claimed the lives of five individuals.
The incident led to Funny Face’s arrest and subsequent remand in police custody.
Expressing deep regret for his actions, Funny Face pleaded with Ghanaians to forgive him, stating, “Forgive me Ghanaians, I will never do these again, forgive me for my actions, I regret. I will never do any wrongdoing. Forgive me and give me another chance.”
Following his appearance in court on March 26, 2024, at the Kasoa-Akweley District Court where he was remanded for two weeks, Funny Face was granted bail on Tuesday, April 9, in the sum of GHC120,000 with two sureties.
Investigations into the accident are ongoing, and Funny Face is expected to reappear in court in four weeks.
Meanwhile, two of the victims are receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, while the other two are being cared for at the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa.
