New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant Kennedy Agyapong has declared that he is the bold honest leader that Ghanaians are expecting in the 2024 presidential election, proclaiming his readiness to outperform former President Mahama in an electoral showdown.

Speaking to the media after casting his ballot in the NPP primaries, Agyapong said that he had the qualities that set him apart from other candidates.

“Look everywhere, you know what Ghanaians are expecting is a bold, honest leader. If it is Kennedy Agyapong, I will beat Mahama hands down. No doubt about it,” Agyapong stated, articulating the desires of a populace that has witnessed an array of leaders from diverse professional backgrounds. Despite having experienced governance by lawyers, soldiers, and economists, the people’s expectations remain unmet amid the current state of affairs.

Kennedy Agyapong, with a firm background in business, urges the electorate to pivot from the norm and consider what an entrepreneur could offer in the realm of national leadership. “Therefore, Kennedy Agyapong, the businessman, let’s give him a chance and see what a businessman can also do,” he suggested, aiming to bring his business acumen to the forefront of political governance.

Highlighting his strengths, Agyapong focused on his boldness, truthfulness, and entrepreneurial expertise. He expressed confidence that these qualities would make him a formidable candidate against any National Democratic Congress (NDC) opponent.

“I stand tall, you know when you bring any NDC, any contestant, those three things will let me win the election easily,” he concluded, indicating his perceived advantages in the political arena.

Agyapong’s message resonates with a growing portion of the electorate yearning for transparency and a proactive approach to leadership-a call that may shape the upcoming political landscape in Ghana.

The NPP primaries are expected to be keenly contested, as the party seeks to retain power in the 2024 elections. The main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has already selected Mahama as its candidate
